Chicago at Night

Posted by Euge on Jun 10, 2009 in Uncategorized |

Good Morning,

We had a GREAT night last night.  Dave took us to a heavy metal bar called “Kuma’s” that serves MASSIVE burgers.  They are GREAT.  After the burgerjoint we grabbed an Irish Cider from a little bar (SO GOOD) and then went down to the Green Mill.

The Green Mill is the oldest Jazz joint in Chicago which used to be owned by Al Capone.  ”Deep Blue Organ Trio” was playing, and we caught the last set – two great songs.

By the time we got home, we had a huge burger, a bunch of beer, and the most disgusting shot we ever had – i think Aleksey agrees.

Terrilee is making us some breakfast now, and then we are off to St. Louis for a few hours, followed by 17th Bar and Grill BBQ Ribs – World Champion Ribs i Illinois.

All in all, our stay in Chicago was GREAT – with a great big thanks to Dave and Terrilee who made it so much better, easier, more comfortable and definitely more fun.

Here are some pictures of last night:

Looks like you guys are eating your way through America. Quite a slice of pizza there. A pity you don’t have a picture of the 2-pounder on the way to Cleveland. Just curious what such monstrosity would look like (pile of meat on an XXXL bun?)

You guys definitely look much more healthier on your 4th day of traveling – it is fascinating what few burgers could do! How was/is the weather so far? – hard to tell from night time pictures.
