St. Louis Botanical Garden

First stop in St. Louis – the botanical garden.  It has a Japanese garden, several rose gardens and a dome with tropical plants.  It was pretty cool but it wasn’t amazing.  The plaque about the tea is really interesting.  I never knew that.

There were these fish in the pond called Coy and they were absolutely  crazy.  They would just float at the surface and gulp down whatever was floating there in hopes of scoring food.  That’s because there are two fish food dispensers and you could get a little baggie for 25c.  The fish just go crazy for it!  This guy came up to feed the fish and goes “Holy cow!” and Eugene turns to him and says “No, holy COY!” and has a huge smile across his face.  The other guy’s face becomes blank and he doesn’t say word. Haha.

Well, you caught Chihuly in there (the blown glass stuff). It was in NY botanical garden in the Bronx a couple years ago and people were going completely gaga over it. Cool pictures.
