Rewind: Memphis – Quick Stop

So, we forgot to write put this post on the internet earlier, so here it is.  It belongs BEFORE New Orleans.  

We got into Memphis, and were surprised that South Main Street didn’t look very main at all.  Beale street on the other hand was really interesting.  We walked along all the stores and stopped in for some EXCELLENT champion Gumbo at one of the local Bar/restaurant/jazz lounges.  

Later on Aleksey and I checked out the Mississippi River where i got a real scare by a snake slithering away from very near my leg.  We were both equally afraid, and both got away safely.

Memphis is not complete without a stop-over at Graceland, Elvis’ home, museum, plane museum, and burial ground.  So, how was it?  Expensive, we didn’t go in; but it looked nice.  We are not die hard Elvis fans.
